Giffard Abbott, who flourished before the Statute (perhaps in the sixteenth century?), was Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Horrible to relate, a member of this sacred Family mated with a Muggle or Mudblood and produced a half-blood daughter in 1979 or 1980.
