The first edition of the Pure-Blood Directory appeared in the early 1930s, written by an anonymous hand, perhaps Cantankerus Nott.
The present author presents this work as a continuation of his noble purpose in maintaining the purity of wizarding blood and the dignity of the Sacred Twenty-Eight.
